The Stoke The Embers Creatives Weekend is an opportunity for creative professionals to develop their skills, share knowledge, and meet their future collaborators!

We’ll be welcoming back some of our dearest Stoke Stage alumni and collaborators, along with introducing you to new collaborators we’ve met along the way.

Spread across two dates (March 13 & 14 2026) and two locations (South London & Riverside Studios), we’re pleased to bring you a variety of creative development and portfolio restock opportunities.

    As part of our Creatives Weekend Spring 2026, we're pleased to be teaming up with Sophie Bloor, founder and director of "Blooom For Actors", to offer a special edition of the Stoke The Embers Voice Reel Station! Three lucky people will receive a voice reel of 3 voice samples for only £145 (usually retailing at £350+). Whether you're looking for your first voice samples or want to add to your existing reels, the Voice Reel Station is for you!

    What You'll Get

    • 1 hour recording session

    • 3 voice samples to add to your voice acting CV (1 commercial, 1 gaming, and 1 audiobook)

    When & Where

    • 13th March, studio location will be shared with the winners

    How to Apply

    To enter for your chance to receive a voice reel, please fill out this form. Submissions are now open and will close on 7th March. We'll use a random name selector to find the winners on 9th March. Please only enter the Voice Reel Station draw if you are available to sit for a recording on 13th March.

    How do you create a three-dimensional character? How do you suggest psychological depth or make a character feel real, recogniseable and identifiable? What even is a character? This workshop explores the fundamentals of coming up with Characters.

    Participants should have something to write with and on.

    About the Facilitator

    Cordelia Lynn is an award-winning playwright, librettist and dramaturg whose work has been produced in the UK and abroad. Her works include Lela & Co, Love and Other Acts of Violence, Sea Creatures, and the operas Like Flesh and Houses Slide. Cordelia received the Berwin Lee Award 2020, the Harold Pinter Commission 2017 and was shortlisted for the George Devine Award 2023. Her opera with Sivan Eldar, Like Flesh, won the Fedora Opera Prize 2021. House Slide, her music theatre piece with Laura Bowler, was nominated for an Ivor Award 2023.

    Join acclaimed accent/dialect and speech coach Aundrea Fudge for an intermediate workshop on the General American accent. This workshop will provide instruction on key rhythmic aspects of the General American accent and essentials of accent technique, including consistency, clarity, and accuracy in delivery. All skill levels are welcome, however, participants should have some familiarity with voice technique.

    About the Facilitator

    Aundrea current projects include Deep Azure at Shakespeare's Globe (Sam Wanamaker Theatre) and Man and Boy at the National Theatre. Previous work includes The Crucible (Shakespeare's Globe); Good Night, Oscar (Barbican); The Hunger Games (Troubadour Canary Warf Theatre);Hercules (Theatre Royal Drury Lane); Clueless (Trafalgar Theatre); andSlave Play (Noël Coward Theatre).

    Join us for an evening of short scenes, spoken word, comedy, and live music from London's brightest emerging and established talents. Come for the new work, and stay to meet your future collaborators! Previously featured creatives include Women’s Prize for Playwriting shortlisted writer Mei Leng Yew, Mad Jacks Theatre’s Sam Smith, and stage phenom Gloria Obiyano.

    The event runs from 7:30pm-9:30pm, including one 15-minute interval. Latecomers are always welcomed.

Where It All Began

The Stoke The Embers Creatives Weekend is where it all began! It is our flagship event, taking place over two days, and consisting of creative development workshops, industry panels, and live performances of new writing, music, poetry, and dance.
